Winstrol The Stanozolol Drug From Winthrop Laboratories

Winstrol is a DHT derivative which means that it is a 17AA steroid derived from dihydrotestosterone. It falls in the 17-methyl-2′ H -5 (alpha)-androst-2-eno {3, 2 c} pyrazol-17 (beta) chemical methyl groups. It has a substance called Stanozolol in it, which is solidified into tablet form and the each tablet contains 2mg of Stanozolol.

Stanozolol is basically a synthetic compound that is derived from testosterone. It is today one of the most salable drugs in the steroid industry. If observed in medical field, Winstrol is used both in animals as well as human patients to treat numerous diseases. Basically, Winstrol is used for the treatment of anemia and hereditary angioedema that causes extremities, swelling and bowel walls, etc.

Since Winstrol has substantial properties in it, it is effective in treatment of urticaria, Raynaud’s phenomenon, cryptofibrinogenemia and lipodermatosclerosis. It is also used in the treatment of osteonecrosis in some cases. It has also been in use in treatment of AIDS wasting syndrome.

Winstrol is also used by bodybuilders because it shows some properties of improving muscle growth hormone, red blood cell production, increase bone density and stimulates the appetite in debilitated or feeble animals.

However, the drug causes some severe side effects. Some of the side effects associated with Winstrol drug are quite adverse, like allergic reactions, choking of throat, difficulty in breathing, deepening of voice, swelling, hair loss, facial air growth, menstrual irregularities (female), acne and change in sexual desire.

It is important to not that Winstrol was created by Winthrop Laboratories in 1962 and is a registered trademark of Sanofi-Synthelabo Inc. in the US. Sanofi has the rights of Winstrol to Ovation Pharmaceuticals in which Stanozolol is sold under the name Winstrol. It is commonly marketed as Winstrol (oral) and Winstrol Depot (injectable). It is a FDA approved drug and is available in the US, but the IAAF has banned its use in sports competitions.
